I had my first baby that night. I was 90% effaced and 1cm dilated at 36 weeks and my dd was born at 38 weeks. When I arrived at the hospital, two days later, I was 100% effaced and 5cm dilated. ... I am currently 41 weeks with baby 2 and am going in a few hrs to be induced AGAIN. honestly though, my first experience wasn't too bad. it was very very long, but my body needed the time to dilate and I am glad my doctor gave me that time.I am 37 weeks today.
